Day 13 in Florida.  Yesterday was the last day of STN and we are going home tomorrow and I am kind of sad to be going but in a way I'm going to be really happy because I'm going to see my family again after  2 weeks and I have to leave Florida. This felt like a really short time that we were here, but in a way it was going really slow because there is a 6 hour time difference in Hawaii and in Florida, so we aren't used to this yet but we are getting used to it.

Today we went to Magic Kingdom for our last day here in Florida we went on Space Mountain,Thunder  Mountain, then Haunted Mansion, Stitches great Escape, and then Buzz light year, by the way I had 54,800 pts. on Buzz Light Year.  We also went to shopping.  Some of us went to the candy shop and other shops for clothes for our family members at home.
We all had lunch and some ate turkey legs and some went to eat at Harbor House.  

After all of that we left Magic Kingdom at around 6:00  and went back to the hotel to drop off all of our things, we only stayed in the hotel for 5 minutes and left to a place called Friendly's.  So in the end we all ate there and came home at about 10:15 and came back to the hotel and pack our bags and get ready to go back to Kauai! 

Day 4 of STN. Today we had Closing Ceremony and it was the absolute best feeling in the world to know now much teams we went up against and at least place in Honorable Mention to first place high school and middle school division. Today it was an exciting day because today we are going to take home some awards Spot Feature took 1st place, Music Video took 2nd place, Anchoring took 2nd place, we took Honorable Mention, and Broadcast took 2nd place to. The other teams I know they did really well and did their best even though they didn't place. So good job to everyone! When we heard our names we and the other Hawaii schools cheered also. Also I think that Hawaii were the loudest screamers.  
Also talking about other schools today all the other schools were great to, I am sure that all the Hawaii schools placed. Especially Waianae, they placed a lot like in animation they placed first on that.  I think they placed 4 times I'm a row.  All the Hawaii schools were cheering really loud.
After closing ceremony we couldn't stop smiling it was an exciting day for everyone.

After that was done we went to go eat at 5 Guys and it was good but we had a big pile of fries. 
Then we went to Gatorland and that was fun just seeing the Alligators, big birds, and even snakes since we do not have any of these things on our island. We even took a train ride and watched an alligator wrestling show and even got to sit on it and take a picture! It was really cool.

Then last we went shopping some of us wanted to go to the Premium Outlet again and some wanted to go to Downtown Disney and the boys, well they do t really like shopping so they didn't want to come so they went back to the hotel.  
I bought a lot of things and got to see lots of stores that we don't have on Kauai. And I can't wait to bring them all home!

Day 3 of STN.  Today I was really nervous and excited because of one and one reason only.  PSA STN Competition.  Today is also Dalson Cua's birthday! He is a team member in the PSA group.  
We asked what he wanted for his Birthday and he said to turn it in on time and bonus if we place tomorrow. 
Today we had breakout sessions again but we only had to go to one because briefing started at 10 am so we had to leave at 9:40.our competition started at 11 and teams before us started earlier so in other words we were the last competition. 

When we started we were a little bored since the topic was a topic it was before.  It was the Golden Rule. Treat people the way you wanna be treated. Since this was our second time doing this topic and this time it was the real deal we had to make it 10 times better then the last time.
This time we did a cyber bullying PSA that had to do with the topic we were given.
Well less then 25 minutes to go we finished our final export and did everything we turned it into the basket where we had to turn it in and we were done. And like I said it was Dalson's Birthday so the editors which were me and Isa made his Birthday present to him.

So in the end we made in time had dinner at Castaic at Sizzlers and do a gift exchange and also have a video showcase and also get ready to hear the results in the closing ceremony!

Day two at STN.  Today we had opening ceremony, that's when all the schools who came to the convention come together and get ready to start STN.  There were a lot of guest speakers who came to the opening ceremony. And the student of the year named Cameron Quan, he told us 3 important things.  To be humble, teamwork, and motivation. And this other guy named Andrew Jenks was funny because he told funny stories on how he got to be on MTV and HBO.  He showed us trailers of his show  World of Jenks and a trailer of Room 335.
After opening ceremony Commercial, Music Video, and Anchoring had to compete and everyone else  had to go to Break out sessions. The first two I went to were fun and the last one was a little boring.
But in the end every team made it and we had a showcase, an activity with other schools called middle school mix up, and we had a great time spending time with our penal and meeting other people.

Day 1 STN!  Today was a really big day for us and other schools. Because today was Sweet 16.  Our topic was International Drive.  Today for the STN competition we did a commercial and a PSA.  We didn't do two PSA's because the topic was a little challenging for us, so Mr.M said we could do a commercial since it's like a PSA.  The PSA topic we did was traffic safety, and commercial was jus talking about what is in the International Drive or in short I-Drive.
 
 Today was also a stressful day for some of us.  We had to be complete our videos and give it to Leanna at 6:00 o'clock, and some of us didn't give the flash drive or SD card in time. We finished an hour and forty five minutes after it was due but we finished!!   our main editor take all of our stories and make them into one, and it has to be less than 10 minutes.  Some of us were really stressed and tired but we need to finish this no matter what.

Also we were asked to get interviewed like about 5 times.  It was a nerve racking because we had our own schedule and we wasted lots of time. 
Tomorrow we will be going to our breakout sessions, well the only ones who aren't competing.  I hope tomorrow will be a good day when everyone is happy and stress relieved.

Day 8 in Florida. We have 6 more days already till this trip is over. But starting from tomorrow it will be STN! Tomorrow is Sweet 16, and 16 hours for production, editing and a lot of hard work.  This year we will be going up against a lot of middle schools this year.  Apparently this is the most people, and schools they had.  Then after tomorrow will STN competition like Movie Trailor,Anchoring, and etc.

Talking about today,today was yet another fun day.  We moved from the houses to a 4 star hotel called the Rosen Plaza Hotel, it's really nice.  This is where the Competitions will be held like sweet 16 and so on. Then once we got to the hotel we had to wait for a while but in the meantime we went to Sonic and shopping at Ross and Outlet Mall.  
We were late going back to the hotel due to traffic and an accident that happened in McDonald today.
After mall we settle into our rooms and relaxed till we had to get ready for dinner.  Today we walked from the hotel to Olive Garden.  The food was good and filling but a little to much. After Dinner we went to place call ed WonderWorks. It's a fun place to hang out and play games and even play Laser Tag. Well that's what we did.

Day 7 in Florida.  Today was fun, snacky, an adventurous.  Today we went back to Universal studios Orlando! Today we went to the two parks, Universal Islands of Adventure and and Universal.  We had so much fun we went on Dispicable Me, Transformers, the Revenge if the mummy, Rock it Roller Coaster, the Simpsons, MIB, ET, an animal show, Terminator,  Jurassic  River Adventures, and Rip saw falls.  Everything except MIB, ET, Simpsons, and Terminator were good.  Because I didn't get the whole thing and how do you know how to shoot and get points, we'll it seems that you need to point a small laser to the monster thing to kill it I guess, and ET I get  story about ET but I didn't get the ride that much because we need to save his home before everyone dies, and his healing power of touching someone will be saved, but once he got to the planet everyone was saved and I guess he healed the entire planet when we landed. There are also Simpsons it was okay not great I still think California is Better.  And terminator I was actually falling asleep in that simulator I was getting really bored and plus we were trapped in a room for 10 minutes and it was hot, well to me. I thought the other rides were good because they made me scream, they made my stomach drop, funny, and cool. These are the rides I would want to ride again. Oh did I tell you that in one of the roller coasters we made a game, we did who ever screamed first loses and has to the Macarena for the entire class. No I did not lose actually it was Kai. 
Today we ate a lot of food from 11:30am to 2:45pm to 7:30pm.  We are some hungry people. We'll including the fact that they had giant donuts, dip n dots ice cream, churro's, popcorn, butter beer, icee, corn dog, and turkey leg.
There was this cool ride, the Rock it Roller Coaster and it went fast, intense, and awesome. You know how roller coasters start off by going on straight and slanted, we'll this one went straight and vertical, and the best part was that they took a video.  I looked at most of them and Dalson had the best reaction.

Day 6 of STN .  Today was a fun, sleepy, and wet day.  Today we went to Universal Studios
Orlando today it was really really fun.  We had the best tour I would say, because we got to ride rides, and get to be first in the line, we got to go back stage and see how the vehicle is made and more.  
Today we went on the Incredible Hulk, The amazing world of Spider Man, Harry Potter,  Dr. Suess, Mary go round, red fish,blue fish, yellow fish, 2 big roller coasters, Jurassic Park River Rapids, and drank something called butter beer.  We went out to dinner to. Some of us went to Chick Filet, and some went to Ci Ci's Pizza Buffet. I went to Ci Ci's Pizza.

Today we we to home early like about 5:45pm and I went with Mr.M guys.  I fell asleep in the car and so did Taylynn, Micah, and Ben M.  Micah fell asleep first, then me, then Taylynn.  When we got home I actually thought that I was at our house which it was Mr.M's house.  So we typed the wrong code.

Today at Universal I loved some of the rides like Spider Man, The Hulk, Harry Potter, The 2 big roller coasters, and Jurassic Park river rapids. I liked these rides because they were simulation, roller coasters, wet rides, and really fast like 65mph.  
Today I really liked the butter beer it was really sweet and to me tasted like coffee.  Did you know that Butter  Beer tastes better with lemon candy? Well anyway tomorrow we will be going back to Universal and I will keep you updated !

day 5 in Florida.  Today it was an exciting and romantic day.  Today we went to 2 places, we went to Epcot again and Hollywood Studios.  Today in Holowood Studios we had the best tour because we went on some of the coolest rides in Hollywood Studios like Rockin Roler Coaster and The Tower of Terror.  The best I would have to say was The Tower of Terror, we went really high up and took a big drop down 3 times it was really really fun and I wish I could do it again! The Rockin Roller Coaster was fun.  In the beginning the ride started faster than regular Coasters and when the ride started we went straight, and the wierd part is that when we started my stomach dropped.  But those two rides were the best.

And the romantic part was when we were in Epcot. Today we met up with the Hawaii groups and today John Allen III proposed to his girlfriend and she said yes OMG it was so romantic.  I never seen a proposal in a while.

Today was a blast, and also a painful day for us.  I will tell you why.  Today we actually went to a place called Epcot.  It is a place where you can visit all kinds of countries like China, Japan, or even Italy. 
They have few rides and lots of food, music, and stores that is based on the country like for Japan there was taiko drumming and anime stores or anything that has to do with Japan.  Today I enjoyed 1 ride and 1 ride only that was in a place called Animal Kingdom. It was I think called Everests Peak.   They talked about the yeti and stories about it and we went to and explored where the Yeti Lives, apparently they live in caves and cold areas, and they like to rip railroads. Nah im just kidding.  We'll today was a painful day because when we had to travel and go to different countries, we'll we had to walk. It was a long walk from start to finish. And our feet were so soar.  But the thing that made my feet soar it has to be from one of the rides and walking so much.  When we also went to Animal Kingdom.  We saw monkeys and more rides, there were Dino rides, And more.  There was one ripped that we didn't get to go on and that kind of disappointed me a little and the crowd that was waiting so patiently in line, being told that they need to leave.  But the ride that made my feet soar and smoked was I think Kalia Rapid River.  We were sitting in one group until this huge drop came and me and Ben Murray were the lucky people to get drenched.  Because since we hit the bottom the place where we were sitting hit the bottom first and then brought up this huge wave over us.  We'll good thing I didn't have electronics with me.  So that ride made me be drenched and have some wrinkly feet!
